Things happen when they happen. ggg in Tokyo and ddd in Osaka have displayed the work of designers from many different countries and with very differing standards. Once in a while I have asked the people concerned about the possibility of an exhibition of the work of Emil Ruder. I never received an answer. When the students of the HFD in Düesseldorf completed the "Design is Attitude" exhibition, they asked me to inquire about the possibility of an exhibition at ddd in Osaka. Since the gallery was due to be closed they could not answer. Then out of the blue came the invitation from ggg in Tokyo. Its location in the heart of the city makes it the gallery of galleries, visited not only by designers but also housewives passing by. ddd reopened with a smaller space in Osaka, and in the heat of summer "Design is Attitude" opened there.
