In my recent works with the theme of representational animals, I seek the meaning of living by delving into life which is universal and common to man and animals. Each animal is a symbol as a mirror of my mind. Types or shapes are definitely not being solely pursued. Before, I made evolved abstract works and expressed the mystery of the universe. They were diffused in a way and related to my converged works now as inside is to outside or front is to back. In terms of the universe, both have a sense of life in common and are based on the idea of continuing to coexist. Kazumasa Nagai
