I always thought I would like to give it a try once at GGG in terms of their location, how fashionable they are, and the high quality of their exhibits. It was an unusually refined theme for me. I collected photographs of Manuel Legris, the top dancer from the Opera in Paris. Perfect for this place. He'll come to Japan. Hesitating, I asked his schedule. His answer was, "No. I won't do a photo exhibition." Come to think of it, this is a hall for graphics. That's a different medium. How off the mark. "But I want to do it." I asked Hideki Nakajima, the AD, and made some very large posters. I also displayed some books. Finally a graphic veneer. "OK." It was only 6 days but it was a miraculously wonderful exhibition.
