The opportunity for Studio Tapiro to show the posters and other materials they have created for the Venice Biennial at the ddd gallery in Osaka was an important occasion that enabled them to show the research and designs they have created over the years since beginning in 1983. The collaboration on the installation of the exhibition between Italy and Japan, the exchange and reciprocal comparisons of ideas and needs not only took place in an extremely friendly environment, but were also highly professional. The high profile of the ddd gallery's cultural proposals made it possible to carry out the exhibition and corresponding activities, thus making it an extremely important part of our working experience as designers and - from our point of view - an interesting opportunity for the Japanese visitors who followed our work with great interest. If it is possible to say that distance and the observation of others create the right atmosphere and suitable dimensions to put things into focus, then it must be said that our experience at the ddd gallery was not only completely positive, but also extremely valuable.
