The Tokyo TDC Awards is an international graphic design competition focused on visual representations of language and the written word. This year marks the 36th edition of the annual competition, which has been held every year since 1990.
          During the submission period from August 1 to October 1, 2025, we received 3,605 entries of extremely high quality from Japan (1,649) and abroad (1,956). The 30 members of the main category selection committee reviewed the submissions in digital and physical formats over an extended period. In addition, a screening committee of 16 members (8 experts + 8 guest members) reviewed the type design category and a panel of 9 experts reviewed the onscreen category. At the end of this process, we selected 487 works for the yearbook, 11 award winners, and 63 awards nominees.
          For the TDC 2026 exhibition, we have selected approximately 120 works that were particularly highly rated with a focus on the award winners and nominees. As in previous years, the exhibition features an impressive line-up of topical works.
