The ddd Gallery will host an exhibition titled "Welcome to Magazine Pool: Ten Boundary-Crossing Magazine Designers," produced by top magazine designer Yasushi Fujimoto (TMDC president and CAP representative) and featuring ten creators' initiatives on the cutting edge of the magazine design scene.
Magazines have an indispensable role to play in contemporary communication. They disseminate a constant stream of up-to-date information from around the world, and demand consistent attention as the most stimulating medium for both design and editorial content. In collaboration with the Singaporean magazine Werk, noted for itse radically unconventional design that differs from issue to issue, this exhibition features the production of a limited print run of a magazine entitled Magazines as Art by ten creators based both in Japan and overseas. The show will lead the realm of magazines into unexplored territory, demonstrating new possibilities for this medium.
