The August 2008 exhibition at the ddd gallery (ddd) is entitled “NOW UPDATING...　 INTERACTIVE DESIGN WORKS BY THA LTD. / YUGO NAKAMURA.”One of Japan’s foremost Web designers, Yugo Nakamura has brought about numerous revolutions in the world of expression through his cutting-edge Web interface design, which has attracted attention worldwide for its simple, sophisticated graphics and animation. Although focused primarily on Web site and software design, his design studio “tha,” which comprises eight designers in all including Nakamura, Yosuke Abe, Keita Kitamura, and Tadayuki Fukatsu, is also involved in film and interior installations. This is their first exhibition, and consists of studies, original works for exhibition, and prototypes of future projects from their body of work to date, including designs for NEC ecotonoha, amana’s fotologue, SAMURAI、UNIQLO USA, SoftBank, MoMA, and the image bookmark service FFFFOUND! The exhibition introduces visitors to a whole range of programs, as well as to the fascination and appeal of their range of interactive designs, which are continually encountered by visitors to their sites from around the world.
