Why do butterflies, bees and ants move the way they do? I want to know secrets like these and see things we’ve never seen before. Through works of art, I want to see myself, I want to reveal myself, I want to liberate myself, and I want to express my dreams and spirit. These desires are the creative wellspring of art director Tsuguya Inoue. This, his first solo exhibition, focuses on the themes of dragons ? the powerful, curvaceous, imaginary creatures ? and light, capturing miraculous moments of various subjects and zooming in close to scrutinize and make contact with them. Approximately 40 of his latest posters on display employ state-of-the-art printing technology. Using Inoue’s body as a medium, the unceasingly poetic and dynamic graphism visually stimulates the senses of viewers. A large number of his recent or best-known poster and bookbinding works will also be on display. Tsuguya Inoue has been an active pioneer at the forefront of the design world through the 80s and 90s, up until the present day. This exhibition marks a new beginning for this established designer.
