Aoudou Denzen (1748-1822), a painter in the Edo period born in Sukagawa, is known as one of the artists who created prints with the copperplate etching for the first time in Japan. The value of his prints, including a big influence on Ukiyoe, was appreciated and designated as Important Cultural Property in 2012.

This exhibition, continuing from 1989 for the purpose of honoring Denzen's achievements, displays prints created by elementary and junior high school students in Sukagawa city. About 230 winning works selected from approximately 3,000 entries will be displayed.
